For a limited time, Pipit will bring its award-winning fine-dining experience to The Brooklet, a luxury retreat nestled in the scenic hinterland of Byron Bay.

This collaboration will transform The Brooklet’s outdoor wood-fired kitchen and poolside bar into an exclusive dining destination, sharing the region’s finest seasonal ingredients and magical sunsets with drinks by the fire.

The intimate open-plan kitchen will seat just 10 guests at a time for Sundays lunches

Menu

The Brooklet set menu includes 20+ parts across in 8 courses, with each course designed to maximise a key seasonal flavour.

SAMPLE MENU - subject to SEASONAL change

(1) Seasonal snacks

Long tail tuna with ume and hoja santa

Pipi and bunya nut pie

Kangaroo with lilly pilly and wattle seed

Reblochon with persimmon and marigold

Fresh and preserved radishes

Sea water steamed oyster with kelp shoyu

(2) Laminated whole grain flat bread with cultured cream and chicken crumble

(3) Scorched bay lobster  with bunya nut, native tamarind and wild rice                                      

(4) Grilled Spanish mackerel with purple broccoli, mustard leaf and markrut lime sauce

Glazed shoulder skewer with yuzu

(5) Dry aged Northern Rivers duck with fig and almond

Duck neck sausage with fig jam

Duck liver and cherry bone pop

(6) Guava and lemon verbena tea (palate cleanser)

(7) Apple and strawberry gum tart tatin with smoked milk custard
+ Apply jelly and mousse

(8) Native Sweets (petit fours)

Strawberry gum jelly

Bunya nut and duck fat fudge

Lemon myrtle marshmallow

ALLERGIES & DIETARIES
At The Brooklet, we can adjust for gluten free, pescatarian, dairy-free, shellfish allergy, nut allergy, and pregnancy. Please let us know in advance as late dietaries can not be accommodated on the day 

If you require vegetarian, vegan or no-seafood menus, we would love to welcome you at Pipit in Pottsville (Thurs to Mon).

Sitting Times & Groups

  • Lunch only available on Sunday

  • 2 x sittings (12 noon and 3:30pm)

  • Strict arrival times apply as all guests and groups will be served dishes at the same time. If you arrive late you will miss courses.

  • Maximum 10 people per sitting

  • Private use dining is available at other times, subject to availability and minimum spends

PRE / POST DRINKS

We encourage you to arrive early with The Brooklet Bar available 30mins before your sitting to enjoy the scenic poolside bar

Coffees and drinks are available after dining until 8pm


What to Expect - Service

The Brooklet’s open plan kitchen is designed to let you observe cooking, talk to chefs, and engage about local produce. The exclusive small group size gives a relaxed, interactive and luxurious feeling much like a private chef experience

The small size (max 10 guests) means all guests will be served simultaneously at the same time. Therefore strict arrival times apply to avoid missing courses or impacting other guests. The paced dining experience is a 3 hour sitting time

Counter Seats

The Brooklet seating is only at an open plan kitchen bench (no tables).  There are comfortable padded stools with backs.

If you require accessible tables, we would love to welcome you at Pipit in Pottsville (Thurs to Mon).

Weather

The outdoor kitchen area is covered, shaded and heated for dining and has vertical blinds for wind and rain.

Please dress warmly and bring a jacket if you are mindful of the cold. We have some blankets if required

Byron Bay winter weather is very pleasant at 13-19C in July.

Sunset is typically 5pm in winter, and the 3:30pm sitting will end after dark

Payment

  • Full prepayment is required at the booking (with dine & stay). $285pp inclusive of all courses.

  • There is no refunds on late cancellations

  • Drinks are additional by consumption

  • Gratuity/tip has been included in menu price

  • Cashless Venue

  • Pipit vouchers can not be used at The Brooklet

  • The Brooklet is a cash-less venue (card payments only or no change can be given with cash)

  • EFTPOS and credit card processing fees applies. 1.42% for all cards

No Kids

The Brooklet is a quiet adults only retreat (16 years old and over venue)

Please dine at Pipit in Pottsville (Thurs to Mon) if you are dining with kids and babies.

The Brooklet is located 30 mins south of our Pottsville location
20 min from Byron Bay, 8 min from Bangalow

If you are not staying, we recommend pre-arranging a driver to visit us. Contact The Brooklet for local transport providers
